Welcome to our town.

Sanford is a great little town with a lot to offer.

The Sanford Area Chamber Of Commerce works to support, encourage, promote and foster civic, economic and social activities among its members and the citizens of the Sanford area.

The Sanford Area Chamber of Commerce welcomes you to our village. Our motto is the “Best Little Town by a Dam Site”. The Dam on the Tittabawassee River forms Sanford Lake. We are located in Midland County, Michigan just ten minutes Northwest of Midland proper and about 30 minutes West of Saginaw and Bay City.

Do you like outdoor activities? Sanford has some great recreational opportunities. Sanford Lake offers activities from boating and fishing to relaxing on a sandy beach while letting the children splash around in the lake or in the new spray-park.

If hiking, or biking is more your thing, you can jump on the Pere Marquette Rail Trail right in town. If you like a more challenging trail, the Pine Haven Recreation Area has miles of wooded mountain bike trails built on 325 acres. Pine Haven offers the most diverse terrain in Midland County for biking, hiking, horseback riding and cross country skiing.

If you are coming to spend the day at the lake, don’t forget to stop in at one or our family style restaurants. Sanford has several to choose from including one that specializes in Mexican and another specializing in Italian. Of course, we don’t want to forget about the ice cream shops or pizza parlors.

Check out our membership directory and business directory for more information about our local businesses. Our events calendar is a great place to keep up to date with what is going on around the area. You might be surprised at all the activities and events in our little town.

This is your invitation to come sample all that Sanford has to offer. Should you need additional information, please give us a call or stop in for a visit at our Chamber office. Sanford is conveniently located on the western edge of the Great Lakes Bay Region with easy access off U.S.-10. Give us a call at: 989-687-5000.
